About CSA Calgary | CSA Calgary Chapter

CSA Calgary is a local professional chapter affiliated with the Cloud Security Alliance global community. The chapter exists to advance cloud security knowledge and trusted cloud adoption in Calgary and surrounding communities through education, community engagement, and research-aligned activities.

The chapter is built as a neutral, community-first forum for cloud security practitioners, technology leaders, auditors, risk teams, students, researchers, and partners. Its work is local in delivery and global in alignment: Calgary members can learn from CSA’s international body of research, while also contributing regional experience back into the broader cloud security conversation.

Mission

To advance cloud security knowledge and trusted cloud adoption in Calgary and surrounding communities by delivering education, community engagement, and research-aligned activities.

Objectives

Promote practical education on cloud security, governance, audit, control, assurance, Zero Trust, AI security, and related disciplines.
Create a trusted local forum for professionals to exchange ideas, discuss real-world challenges, and share lessons learned.
Support continuous learning through meetups, workshops, panels, speaker sessions, and access to CSA global resources.
Encourage ethical conduct, professional excellence, and responsible technology adoption in cloud security practice.
Connect Calgary’s cloud security community with CSA research, training, certifications, working groups, and global chapter activity.
Create opportunities for members to volunteer, speak, publish, mentor, sponsor, and contribute to research-aligned initiatives.

The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining and raising awareness of best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment. CSA harnesses the subject matter expertise of industry practitioners, associations, governments, and its corporate and individual members to offer cloud security-specific research, education, certification, events and products. CSA’s activities, knowledge and extensive network benefit the entire community impacted by cloud, including providers, customers, governments, entrepreneurs and the assurance industry. CSA provides a forum through which diverse parties can work together to create and maintain a trusted cloud ecosystem.
